  PILATES FOR RUNNING Runners love to run and believe that nothing else will give them that feeling of freedom and joy. At some point, the body starts to protest. I will recommend specific Pilates exercises and routines to strengthen the inner muscles in your knees, ankles, and hips that will help absorb the impact of “pounding the pavement.” I can also increase flexibility safely which will help prevent injury. Posture is another prime concern as the “runner’s posture” tends to present a forward head and rounded shoulders.
